Knebworth is a spectacular historic house, home of the Lytton family since 1490. Set in 250 acres of attractive parkland just 28 miles north of London, this Gothic fantasy was transformed from its red brick Tudor origins by Edward Bulwer Lytton in 1843. There are few more romantic places in the British Isles to hold your event that at Knebworth House.

Knebworth House can provide your business with smaller intimate space for business seminars to large scale dinner and receptions for up to 200 people.

Event Spaces

At Knebworth House, choose from the glamour and splendour of the Jacobean Banqueting Hall, which has played host to guests from Queen Elizabeth I to Queen Elizabeth II, or make use of the Barns conference and banquet centre. Endlessly versatile in terms of space and adaptability, the Barns can host a variety of events, from conferences and seminars to exhibitions, awards ceremonies and corporate receptions. They are also able to cater to large scale events such as product launches and large receptions by request. 

  • Jacobean Banqueting Hall

    Knebworth House’s Jacobean Banqueting Hall, one of the most beautiful rooms in the country, has played host to guests from Queen Elizabeth I to Queen Elizabeth II. You will be dining at the same fireside as Prime Ministers, artists, authors, philosophers, explorers, joining one of England’s most illustrious guest books.

    Also available are the Edwardian Dining Parlour, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, and the Victorian Library of Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton, one of the 19th Century’s formost novelists and statesmen.

  • Knebworth Barns

    The Knebworth Barns are made up of two 400-year-old Tithe Barns, lovingly restored to create a unique setting, and is in walking distance to the House. The Barns seat up to 200, and are available for conferences, product launches, exhibitions, banqueting and themed occasions.

  • Gardens and Gazebo

    The gardens at Knebworth House date back to the 1600’s with the present design, landscaped in the Victorian and Edwardian times. They offer the beautiful setting for your treasured photographs with Knebworth House as a stunning backdrop.
